In a panic, we called Daniel on a Sunday. He responded immediately and arrived within hours. Within minutes of being on site, he properly diagnosed the issue (something the other company failed to do entirely) and manually emptied our tanks to prevent disaster. He quickly diagnosed the issue, removed a pipe, and pulled out a small piece of fabric that had caused the problem—like a septic detective. He took the time to explain everything clearly, even when I asked questions that probably made no sense. He stayed patient and professional the entire time, which I really appreciated.
I’ve been dealing with other issues in my septic system, and after a bad experience with McKim, I wasn’t sure who to turn to. A neighbor and I both had our septic pumped by Loudoun Environmental 2 years ago. And when we moved in McKim pumped it and did the inspection. My… read more same neighbor had an overflow recently with only 1 person in the house… She has Dynamic Septic fix her system as Loudoun Environmental wasn’t available.
Afterwards she highly recommended Dynamic Septic on our community FB explaining too what happened. On her recommendation, we just Dynamic Septic pump and so glad we did. 2 people in a home with 4 bed septic and ours was completely full with SLUDGE, not just normal gray water, in 2 years? Cristina and Brian pumped down to the bottom and showed it to us after much work. I won’t go into severely gross detail but I will say that our house was rented out on each level for many years before we bought it 7 years ago. If you can imagine gross things, you’d probably be right that they sucked it up and that stuff from more than 7 years ago came out. Clearly the renters had no respect for the septic. Dynamic Septic refused to say good or bad about previous companies despite my relaying that the items found go way past our buying the house and that clearly it was missed previously. All she relayed were facts, actual information about our septic as well as what she found to ensure we didn’t put that stuff in the system in the future which of course we never did in the first place (it was from previous residents).
I found this commendable. It’s clear to me though that the other companies are not doing full pump outs, not doing the job correctly. Their pricing is clearly lower for at least that reason. Dynamic charges based on tank size (gallons) which makes sense as they’re charged for disposal based on how much they dump (their truck storage size). For an extra $200 though, I’d rather it be done right the first time. To be fair, there are many different employees sent out to jobs by McKim and Loudoun Environmental and maybe it’s an employee problem rather than a systemic company problem. But it’s just Cristina and Brian that do pump outs for Dynamic Septic and I’d highly recommend Dynamic Septic like my neighbor rather than rolling the dice.
Note- I only make recommendations that I would encourage my mother to go with: they’re rare.
